Elecont Weather 1.3.5 Released

Posted by Eriq Cook in "Windows Phone Software" @ 02:30 AM

http://www.wmexperts.com/elecont-we...rts+(WMExperts)

"Elecont Weather has been updated, increasing the worldwide weather coverage from 41,000 to 67,000 cities. Version 1.3.5 also includes a 10-day weather graph for day and night temperatures, an independent scheduler for weather updates, and added information on moon phases and moonrise/moonsets over a ten day period."

While it definitely shows more weather information than my HTC smartphone with Sense interface, Elecont Weather for Windows Mobile is a great app for viewing detailed weather data including hour-by-hour forecasts, alerts, and much more. This would definitely come in handy those who travel often and/or spend a lot of time out in the open.

Elecont Weather is currently on sale for $9.95 (regularly $14.95) until May 29th directly from elecont.com. A free 10-day trial is also available for download.

Have you used Elecont Weather before or plan on checking it out?

http://spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/weather/

"Spb Software, the world's top Windows Mobile software developer releases a major update for Spb Weather - an award-winning and world's best-selling weather application for Windows Mobile touch-screen phones. Aside from the modernized finger-friendly UI, Spb Weather 2.0 offers forecasts by Foreca - the trusted weather source of MSN.com, quotes current outside weather conditions, has an expanded city database, and a revolutionary 3D globe with animated weather forecasts over a real satellite image of the sky."

Spb Weather 2.0 packs a host of new features, including a 3D globe, and support for Foreca. It also includes features from v1.x such as the Today plug-in and integration with other Spb products. If you've yet to try or buy Spb Weather 2.0, head over to our affiliate software store - it's currently showing v1.7.4, but should be updated in the coming hours. If you're a registered user of v1.x, $9.95 will get you an upgrade to v2.0; however, if you purchased v1.x in the last ninety days, then v2.0 is yours for free. Similarly, all registered users of Spb Traveler 2.x are entitled to the full version of Spb Weather 2.0 for free.

"VITO Technology updates Winterface - mobile shell for Windows Mobile devices. The new version of Winterface features a Weather icon among other status icons with "live" info like time, calendar, e-mail, tasks and other icons. Winterface 1.14 also addresses some minor device specific bugs and provides further improvements. Since Winterface was released in July there has been a definite call from its users for weather support. Many users find Winterface much more attractive than the Today screen and want to see Weather information in Winterface. For this purpose VITO Technology has developed a free stand-alone product Weather."

VITO has updated their Winterface mobile shell, taking care of a few bug fixes and adding "cyclic page scrolling" so that you can continue from the last page back to the first. The new Weather app ties in with Winterface, but can be used as a standalone application and is available for free. You can download the cab file here. Elecont Weather for Windows Smartphone and Pocket PC

Posted by Jerry Raia in "Smartphone Software" @ 04:40 PM

http://software.smartphonethoughts....e-and-Pocket-PC

"Need to know the weather? Don't always have the time to check? Well, with Elecont weather you don't have to. It's right on the home screen of your Smartphone or Pocket PC. Of course if you want more details you can check out current conditions, barometric pressure, wind speed, ultraviolet intensity level, and more. That's quite a bit weather info to fit in your pocket."

Need another weather program? Who doesn't after all? Well here is Yet Another Weather Program (YAWP). We old Unix and Linux programmers will remember YACC of course, but I digress. If you are still looking for that perfect weather application here is another one for you to try.
