HTC Mozart Landing On T-Mobile Soon

Posted by Nurhisham Hussein in "HTC Windows Phones" @ 08:00 PM

http://www.tmonews.com/2011/01/htc-...he-magenta-way/

"Remember the HTC Mozart? Yeah, the handset we've been calling since July of 2010. Well, according to our ninjas the handset is coming really soon...Our sources tell us that Magenta may offer the handset in two versions, an 8GB version and a 16GB version, but don't marry to that."

It's been rumoured for ages but if the Mozart is the WP7 device you're waiting for, it's finally - fingers crossed - on the way. Personally I prefer the bigger screen of the HD7, but the size of that one sometimes makes handling it a juggling exercise. The Mozart is in that Goldilocks sweetspot - not too little, not too big, but just right. That 8MP camera and aluminum body are kinda nice too.

HTC Spark With WP7 Outed

Posted by Nurhisham Hussein in "HTC Windows Phones" @ 11:00 AM

It's lean, it's mean, and it's sparkling - not to mention showing all the grubby fingers that's been handling it. The HTC Spark, which appears to be another codename for the Mondrian/Trophy/Mozart (different carriers?), has been photographed and dissected (figuratively speaking) by an enterprising friend of a friend. The specs comply with chassis 1 minimums and HTC has a few (non-Sense) apps onboard, and is going to offer an optional extended battery. We're counting the days til this and other WP7 offerings hit the streets - it's been a looong wait. Hit the source for the link to more pics...and mind the ciggie.

HTC Mozart Going To T-Mobile USA

Posted by Nurhisham Hussein in "HTC Windows Phones" @ 09:00 PM

http://www.tmonews.com/2010/07/htc-...ded-to-magenta/

"According to one of our highly trusted sources, the HTC Mozart is headed to our very own, T-Mobile USA. If you may recall, recently the HTC Mozart's existence was confirmed via XML files on the manufacturer's own site. The XML files also revealed that the Mozart is indeed a Windows Phone 7 handset and will include an 800 x 480 display, a keyboard-less form factor, and A2DP Bluetooth support."

We're a somewhere around three months to go to WP7 hitting the store shelves (if all goes well), and that's about the right time for new devices and specs to start leaking out before being launched. This time it's T-Mobile and HTC Mozart - whatever that means. The specs are standard for WP7 which doesn't exactly tell us anything, but the fact that at least one carrier will be carrying WP7 devices is probably good news for US customers, especially after the KIN debacle. As soon as we know more we'll let you know.

WP7: An October Revolution?

Posted by Nurhisham Hussein in "Windows Phone News" @ 01:00 PM

My local source was also whispering October, but this is a bit more solid - a leaked handset roadmap from Aussie carrier Telstra shows a new HTC WP7 handset codenamed Mozart to be released in October. That means we're around four months away from WP7's general availability, and counting back, we should see WP7 handsets start undergoing FCC certification in the August/September timeframe. Time to start filling in that piggy bank guys. As for Mozart, virtually nothing's known (the image is a photoshopped placeholder), but we'll probably start hearing more in a couple of months.
