"Given the head start that Apple (AAPL) and Google (GOOG) have in the smartphone market, Microsoft (MSFT) can't afford to leave anything to chance. And it's not. The company is gearing up to provide an enormous amount of support, from helping OEMs design differentiating applications to extensive cloud network services to enhance phone operations."
Right up there with FCC filings, job postings can often lead to some clues about what is in the works for various companies. This piece by bnet is full with possibilities, including the idea that Microsoft Games Studio will have a mobile division fairly soon that will most likely focus on the integration of WP7 and Xbox. Cool stuff - let's hope this means that MS will be able to catch up if they hire the right people! Oh, and if you are the right people - apply!
