O2 Asia-Pacific: Three to Four New Devices This Year

"The O2 Xda Stealth PDA phone series, a new Microsoft Windows-based model that was announced by O2 Asia Pacific yesterday, is being manufactured by Gigabyte Communications, a handset subsidiary of motherboard maker Gigabyte Technology, according to the Chinese-language Commercial Times. Gigabyte has shipped the first batch of 100,000 units to the telecom carrier, the paper indicated. The Stealth series is a slide-to-open device and has a built-in 2-megapixel digital camera, the paper added."

O2 certainly is making good use of its other manufacturing partners, Quanta and Gigabyte. In other news, DigiTimes is reporting that O2 will have three to four new models out in the Asia-Pacific this half year. That's a lot in this small space of time, considering O2's past history of device releases. Here's hoping they're show-stoppers.
