Sprint Pushes Out Push Email With New PPC-6700 Firmware Update

Sprint users will be happy to know that their beloved PPC-6700 Pocket PC Phone (HTC Apache) has recently been issued a firmware update to AKU2. This update includes "Direct Push Email," along with a bunch of appreciated bug fixes and enhancements, such as Cyberon Voice Speed Dial, an updated Comm Manager, and a "Device Lock" Today plug-in. ;)

Of course, Verizon Wireless continues to trail behind with their equivalent update to the XV6700. Perhaps, it takes the engineers a few more days or weeks to add in their crippling customizations to prevent "revenue leaks." In any case, even with all the nice goodies in the Sprint update, A2DP (Bluetooth stereo audio streaming) was unsurprisingly left out. It's still very much worth the download and effort, so check out the active discussions and multiple download links.
