"E-TEN Information Systems is proud to introduce the G500 Pocket PC Phone, the first PDA phone to have built-in GPS and TMC functions. The G500's embedded RoyalTek GPS module, featuring the SiRF Star III high sensitivity chipset and an innovative internal antenna design, means that PDA or phone owners who also regularly need to access GPS services, no longer have to carry additional accessories or even a separate GPS device when they travel. No other product makes it as easy or as convenient as the G500 to have the latest satellite navigation technology always on hand. The G500 is also the first PDA phone with an onboard receiver allowing it to support Traffic Message Channel (TMC) functions in available countries when using the popular GPS application, Destinator. When traveling, the G500 can receive regularly updated reports of the traffic conditions ahead and so alert drivers to problems (such as sudden traffic congestion) that could cause delays on a planned route. TMC's advanced warning system enables users to make on the fly changes to their journey, avoiding traffic jams and holdups and giving them an advantage to reach their destinations on time."

E-TEN has just announced the G500 Pocket PC Phone Edition. It features a Samsung S3C2440 400MHz processor, 64MB RAM, 128MB Flash ROM, a 2.8" QVGA (240 x 320) 65K-colour TFT-LCD, quad-band GSM/GPRS support, Bluetooth 1.2 (Class 2), integrated GPS (SiRFstar III chipset with support for TMC), a 1.3-megapixel camera, a miniSD slot, a 1440mAh Li-Ion battery, and Windows Mobile 5.0. Unfortunately, there is no Wi-Fi, which the E-TEN M600 otherwise has. But, if you don't see that as a drawback and you're still interested in picking up a G500, then look to your local dealer in March 2006.

From the immortal Fabio, "I can't believe it's not a RAZR"!
