More XM Radio On Your Pocket PC!

"Okay, so you have your new, envy-of-your-friends XM satellite radio, but you also have your new smartphone or pocket pc and you wish you didn't have to be in your car or at home to listen to your XM stations. No problem. XM starting offering their stations online a ways back, but just recently also made them available in a Pocket Internet Explorer ONLY format. The biggest downside: you have to go back and forth between the webpage and Windows Media Player to change stations. In addition, you can't listen to the stations on your PC the same way (you have to go to XM's proprietary player to do that)."

Our Sister site, Smartphone Thoughts, posted on this story a few days back, and we've posted on other XM - PPC solutions before, however this one is nice in that you get a compact little aspx file, and don't have to worry about who might see your XM Username & Password. I've tried it out and had mixed luck: Media Player 10 works without a hitch, however WMP 9 had problems displaying the station names. So if you fall into the same category, perhaps our previous solution works better for you if your device is WMP 9. Any way you slice it, we can now enjoy our XM feeds on our Pocket PCs!
