"Conexant Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CNXT), a worldwide leader in semiconductor solutions for broadband communications, enterprise networks and the digital home, today announced the world’s lowest power and smallest form factor 802.11g wireless local area network (WLAN) radio for embedded mobile applications. The single-chip CX3110X is a power-efficient, compact chip targeted at high performance, battery operated mobile devices such as multimedia cellular phones, enterprise handsets, PDAs, and digital cameras."

It is only a matter of time before we start to see 802.11g being widely integrated in Pocket PCs, and what better way to get the ball rolling than to have Conexant Systems be one of the first companies to help with the provision of a low-power 802.11g chip designed for use in PDAs, phones and cameras.
