"Orb Networks, Inc., a developer of streaming media software and services, today announced the Japanese version of its Orb Media software. With the announcement of another language-based version of their innovative streaming media service, Orb strengthens its international presence with its first version based on a non-Latin language. The new version is available from the Orb Web site. Additionally, Orb Networks announced plans to release other language versions of its Media Software over the next two months so consumers around the globe will be able to gain free access to all of their digital content via the Web. Orb provides consumers around the world with FREE, spontaneous mobile access to their music, photos, videos, Webcams and other digital content located on their home PC from virtually any Internet-enabled device. The Japanese-language release of Orb comes after recent Orb Networks announcements of worldwide product support, the launch of its first international edition (French), and elimination of subscription fees."

Orb Networks' global outreach strategy aims to provide localised language versions of the Orb client as well as have the Orb television guide data available in multiple countries around the world. Previously, there was a heavy restriction on Orb only being a full-fledged service in the United States, and now all that is about to change! With the Japanese and French versions being made available, we'll soon see Chinese, German, Italian, Korean, Spanish and Swedish releases of Orb unveiled within the next two months. I use Orb currently and can say that it works great on my Pocket PC, so if you've not tried it before, now's the time to do so. Interested? Click here to download Orb for free.
