Another Clue In Solving The MSN Messenger Upgrade Problem For Some Users?

Posted by Ed Hansberry in "THOUGHT" @ 07:00 PM

A few have reported that after installing the required MSN Messenger update, their Pocket PCs no longer connect to the Messenger service. We discussed this last month. One possible clue has surfaced in the .pocketpc newsgroup. A user reported that by unhacking the user agent string in PIE, Messenger connects. So, if you are having this problem, have you used RegKing or manually hacked your Pocket IE user agent string to make servers think you are running a different browser? If so, undo the hack, soft reset and try connecting again, then post here with your results.
