Using Flash Format 2.6 on an iPAQ 2215

For you Flash Format users, this is an interesting tip if you own an iPAQ 2215:

"As you you may know, Flash Format is currently the only program allowing users to set AutoRun on their storage cards, so that specific contents (such as games or MP3 playlist) can be automatically activated upon insertion of a specific storage card. But you may not know that AutoRun support and implementation may vary significantly on different brand/models of Pocket PC, and some of the latest Pocket PC 2003 devices are indeed quite curious in this respect.

For example, appearently the latest iPAQ22xx Pocket PC doesn't trigger AutoRun at all... But, if AutoRun is activated on a Compact Flash card, and a soft-reset is performed while the CF card is inserted, the system will enable AutoRun on the device, and it will effectively trigger AutoRun for any SD or CF card subsequently inserted, as most of the other devices normally do...! We don't really know if if this is a bug, or if it is by design, but we thought you may be interested passing the trick to readers of your magazine or web site."
