eWallet 3.0 Now Released

eWallet, one of Ilium Software's flagship applications, has reached the 3.0 level. I find it frustrating though that none of the three major digital wallet vendors (Ilium, DeveloperOne, Two Peaks) offer import/export functionality to move from one product to another. How far would Microsoft Money have gotten if it weren't able to import Quicken data? I chatted with one of the above vendors about this issue, and he said the problem was that there was no formal arrangement for the data - the import would work for some cards, and not for other. We need an eWallet standard for storing data! It's hard to move away from one digital wallet to try out another one if you have to hand-code all your data again... 8O

"Now you can have all your important information in a format that's secure, easy to access, centralized and portable wherever you want it! Use Ilium Software eWallet® on your Palm Handheld, Windows PC (desktop or notebook), Pocket PC, or Handheld PC. Collect and keep all your important info, including:

• New detail fields for important extra info
• Icons and card colors now on all handhelds
• New AutoPass feature fills in usernames and passwords on web pages for you (Windows PC only)
• More live URLs
• Live phone numbers (if you have a phone-enabled handheld) "
