Amiga releases Pocket PC applications today

Amiga is in the middle a critical shift. From being a premiere hardware innovator and manufacturer, Amiga wants us to saddle up for a software ride. The first Pocket PC effort is called Amiga Anywhere Entertainment Pack #1 and contains four games. What is important to note is the "#1", which means there will be more. In fact, the key message Amiga sends to the community and market is that the so-called "Amiga Anywhere Content Engine" is in town and will start to make a difference. They say there's hundreds of games in the works that will utilize their game engine.

A word from Scott Horn, director of Embedded and Appliance Platforms Group, Microsoft: "As mobile devices become smarter and more powerful, users are asking for rich entertainment and gaming experiences. The combination of the Windows CE operating system's multimedia functionality and Amiga's software solution allows developers to deliver rich applications for a broad range of Windows Powered devices."
