Synchrologic releases iMobile Suite 4.2 with new .NET support: .NET Compact Framework and SQL Server CE.

"iMobile Suite 4.2 offers key benefits to business users, IT staff and developers, including:

• Support for Microsoft SQL Server(TM) 2000 Windows(R) CE Edition (SQL Server CE) databases allows for more data to be sent to the Windows Powered device, giving users all the information they need to service customers. And, developers benefit because they can create more complex and powerful applications for Pocket PCs. For the first time, developers can now connect the data from SQL Server, Oracle or DB2 databases to SQL Server CE using iMobile Suite 4.2.
• Support for applications developed using the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework offers developers an easy way to migrate existing or write new mobile applications without worrying about how to extend the enterprise data to Windows CE-based or Pocket PC devices.
• Server-side change capture flags changes at the server for immediate delivery to mobile devices, providing a faster, more real-time experience for users. This capability is designed to minimize sync times allowing for more concurrent users resulting in a highly scalable, reliable solution."
