Club Pocket PC User Group Tour 2002

Posted by marlof in "EVENT" @ 04:46 PM

Today I attended the joined meeting of the User Group Köln & Ruhr in Essen. Beth Goza and Nicole Papineau ( Microsoft Mobile Devices / Club Pocket PC ) presented the latest and newest in the Pocket PC world.

Among other things Beth did an awesome demo of the feature set of the new Pocket PC 2002 Phone Edition and the Smartphone 2002. Lady Fortune liked Beth this time, because even non rehearsed features went smooth. Seeing a Smartphone 2002 in action getting streaming video over GPRS was awesome! After the demo there was time for some Q&A.

Next to free drinks and snacks, the attendees all received a nice gadget gift (won't spoil the surprise for future meetings) and the luckiest one of all will even receive a brand new Pocket PC! After all, it was an evening well spent, as I love seeing the Mobile Devices Team at Microsoft putting in all their efforts to keep in touch with the Pocket PC community. If you're in the neighborhood, and want to experience this yourself, Beth and Nicole are visiting two more places in the next two days:
